Hello everyone and happy new year !!
My name is Virginie but everybody calls me Nini (a.k.a. ninigoesdigi). I'm 35 years old... Oh my ! It's hard to type !!!:(
I discovered digiscrap last year July and I'm very much enjoying this new hobby... My DH a little less but he's overall quite tolerant about it :biggrin8:
I'm French and my DH is Korean but we've lived in Japan for more than 12 years now. No kids unfortunately so I really like RAK :giggle:
I still have a lot to learn about designing a page but little by little I try to find my way. There are so many great scrappers here, I feel really little.:ashamed0001:
I have to warn you : I have a very low page productivity = I think I spend to much time wanting to participate to forums and chit chat and I end up doing no scraping :25r30wi:
This should be one of my new year's resolutions : talk less, scrap more... oh, and clean up around more too if I don't want my husband to put a lock on my computer :25r30wi: We'll see if I can stick to that resolution...
Anyway. I saw some familiar faces here but I hope I can get to know everyone better.
Sayonara !
PS : forgot to say I'm a smiley addict too and I LOOOOOOVE the amazing list here !!! :lykkelig:

Hi Nini...happy to meet you.
I am impressed by the list of smilies available here...they are all so fun!!
:giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
My 2010 resolution is to scrap more, maybe we can help one another along with that. I hope that the fun challenges that are coming with the opening will help me with that. :winking0071:

Wooot! Awesome! :biggrin8: I'm curious--do you have an accent when you speak Japanese?
ninigoesdigi
29-01-2010, 12:29 PM
Well it seems my Japanese sounds better than my English :giggle:
I'm quite proud of my Japanese speaking level actually but I gave up on hand writing : I just try my best to be able to write my address... At least I can go home !!! :happy113:And when I need to leave a "note" to my DH I just send him a short mail :rofl2:

lol, the only thing i can write in kana is my name! lol I only took like one semester of Japanese in college and it's all bled out of my brain :25r30wi:
omgosh, you have to write to your husband in Korean? Or Japanese? Two very different character sets!
ninigoesdigi
29-01-2010, 01:05 PM
Oh no ! We use only Japanese to communicate. I am trying to learn Korean but I'm not feeling pressured really... too many family troubles on his side, no need for me to understand everything ! :muahaha:
But I can use Japanese with my computer or my mobile phone no problem. Handwriting is a hell but thank god for the Japanese input system as it helps you choosing the right character. I just need to be able to read and pick the good ones. And actually, reading is a big word because for most of them I don't know the correct reading but I do recognize them and know if it's the character I need to type.
