This month's Journaling Challenge is about "A Major Turning Point" in your life. Interpret this how you like...this could be about the day you got your driver's license as a teen; the day you graduated HS or College; the birth of your first child; or even about the first home you bought. It's all up to you.

This challenge will run from August 1st until August 31st, 2010



You must use at least 75% MScraps product. Retired Products and Quickpages do not count!



You must upload your layouts to the Journaling Challenge Gallery (http://www.mscraps.com/galleri/showgallery.php?cat=30) and you must post your layout + link in this thread.



1 winner will be randomly picked shortly after the challenge has closed and will win a $10 GC to the store!

Journaling reads: Before you were born I had no idea how it would be with you and maybe that was a good thing: the first year with you was the hardest year of my life! You didn’t make it easy for us. Especially for me it was really more survival rather than enjoying and too often I looked jealously at other mothers that {in my eyes} had babies that weren’t such a handfull like you... Now I see how much I already learned from you: accepting that you are you’re own wonderfull little person. Not to compare you with anyone else because you are unique! A healthy toddler nearly two years old with a mind of your own and a wonderfull sence of humour already!
The change that you've brought into my life is enormous and so valuable, thank you little guy!

Oh I love a good tear-jerker too. You girls are just so strong to put it all down on paper. Suzie, you're doing a wonderful, wonderful job and you are a fantastic role model to your boys. Leilani, I had no idea about your condition, but I love how you have turned it into a massive positive. That's the first vacations with all my 3 children, and this means a lot for me : my dream is now realized, to have my tribe around me.
(No more the case : vacations are finished for me, and my son is by his grandmother now, for 2,5 weeks...)

“If my parents hadn’t sold the farm I grew up on and my husband & I had kept it in the family.
If I had had the gumption to approach publishers with all my novels I’d written as a teenager.
If I had been struck by the bullet when it accidently discharged through the ute cabin, went through my hair and lodged in the dashboard heater, during a family spotlighting hunt.
If my grandmother hadn’t encouraged me to follow my dreams to become a journalist because I had a talent for writing.
If I had slept over at my friend’s house the night she & her family were murdered
If the mother of the deadly brown snake that slithered under my bed had turned up after all.
If I hadn’t been blessed with 3 beautiful, vibrant healthy children after persuing fertility treatment.
If I had chosen Bathurst university over Canberra and never met my husband as a result.
If that persistant ringing in my ears had been a superpower that helped me save people in distress, just like Bionic Woman.
If my fourth baby hadn’t miscarried.
If I hadn’t been so career-focussed after school & gone travelling instead.”
