View Full Version : Sawaddee ka from Bangkok :)
Hi ladies!!
I'm glad I made it here! Thanks to Rach (Doodelle) and iNg for that!
I'm Pom and I'm from Thailand. I have a six-year-old son, Neill, with my South African husband Chris. He works for the United Nations and is now stationed in Lebanon. We get to see each other only once every 3 months, though when we do we make it count! (Too much info anyone? )
I work as a freelance book editor while taking translating/writing work on job by job basis. I only started digi-scrapping seriously from around August 2009 though have been playing with GIMP on and off for a few years now. I'm also a vegetarian who reads like crazy! :944509:

Sabrina, so happy to see you here too! :jippi:
And, as for Lex's question....
Hi Pom! Welcome! :D Oooo, I'm curious, what do you translate exactly? Or is it UN-related too?
Not at all! So far the only UN-related document I've translated was my son's education grant application form. :biggrin8:
I write and translate occasional articles for magazines in Thailand. There are a few PR firms and production houses that will come to me when they need certain press releases or documentary scripts translated into English. But other than that I'm living a comparatively boring life as a SAHM.

And she's really good at it, too! :giggle: Lex, I believe, is also a fellow writer (right Lex?).
And thanks about my avatar! It was actually Chris' idea lol :flirtyeyess:
