YES it is! It's amazing and so honest. You hardly ever see anybody being so open about D.S.

When reading her blog I was surprised though. Reading about Holland compairing to Italy... But now I understand. Read this Dutchies... Not sure if I like it, LOL.

wow Nicole, what a story!Had to swallow a few times, tears roling down, but what a beautiful honest story!

Last year, december 7th, one of my best friends phoned me, that her first baby afther 39 weeks of pregnancy, had died in her womb.
The pain and disbelief you go trough then are not to explain, this story brought me back a year ago, how your live can turn upsidedown in just one second.

this is beautiful! thanks for sharing this story...

I had it difficult by reading this story. My youngest daughter has the Pierre-Robin Sequence. She came 3 weeks to early, when she was born, she didn't cried and I knew there was something wrong. A few doctors camed immediately to the room to take care of her, I held her for a few minutes not too long because she had problems with breathing. After 2 hours we finally saw her at neonatology. It was terrible to see her with all those wires and equipment, all those nurses and doctors... she was so little and all those wires. Than her doctor told us that she has the Pierre-Robin Sequence (http://www.cleftline.org/publications/pierre_robin). She had feeding problems, breathing problems. After 5 weeks she was allowed to come home from her doctor with a feeding tube and apnoemonitor. After 2 months at home, she could eat independently with a special bottle. One year ago, her palate was closed and the monitor also stopped because she didn't had any problems anymore with breathing. The first year of her life was very difficult for us but when you see her now, she is so a lovely girl.

Every time when I see her pictures and movies after her birth, I have it difficult. That was the hardest in our life that happens to us...

Wow this did make me cry, it's so beautiful. My nephew (the first baby I was lucky enough to fall in love with) has cerebral palsy and everything she says is true, children are such a gift no matter what. xxx

omg i was so not expecting to have tears running down my face first thing in the morning! And i'm not even done reading. To you mothers who have extraordinarily more challenges to face when it comes to raising your children, you are heroes! Seriously!

That was a beautiful story to share... thanks and thank you too VKE, what a beautiful page!!

Mariska, I know what you mean... I read that part three times. I'm ok with it... cause well in the end Holland is even better then Italy and they just needed time to see that. Although this piece of journalling isn't really clear about that. But if you go through kelle's other blog posts, that is what's meant...
