View Full Version : Do you do other things than digiscrapping?
I finished knitting my sweather last night, and I saw the tread over at Catscrap and I had to take a picture of it and show you. I'm very proud of it. I have not been knitting since 2002 so this was so much fun..
Do you do other things than digiscrapping? Please show me, I love getting inspiration from others :Cheerful:

Wow that is awsome!!! I really wish I could knit, I leave that for my mom. :)
I also paper scrap. AND I love to sew also. I've done hybrid bags, that is so much fun! You make your digital layouts then print them onto printable fabric and then go to work making your bag.

OMGosh! I'm a die-hard obsessed knitter!! I just made a hat that my daughter stole from me. I'm working on a baby set for my cousin (hat, sleeper, and booties) and some fuzzy socks. I also made a heart shaped pillow for my boyfriend for valentines day with a um...."special message" on the front. lol. I have plans in the future for some lacy spring scarves and slouchy hats. They're my fav.

I love to sew too!! I love to make tote bags. This one is my knitting tote for when I'm on the go. I pretty much take it everywhere with me.

Bren: then you can sign me up for one (I love the little buttons and I love soft colors)..I would love that..how du you price them? As you can see on my sweather your tote has the same color!!

Oh my gosh, the sweater, the hat, the tote, the socks.....they are all great! I wish I could knit. No one ever taught me. I guess it's never too late to learn.
Let's see...what do I do other than digi scrapping. Not a whole lot. I like to do collages on canvas, but that happens once or twice a year maybe.
Here is one that I did last year and won a blue ribbon for at a Home makers exibit.

I can sew, but I don't really enjoy it. I do enjoy cooking and baking, if only I could afford to employ a full time dishwasher, then I am sure I would do it alot more.
That is so creative, reminds me that I did patchwork/quilting many years ago! My machin had a mind of it's own and we did not have the same ideas. LOL :) So I quit!!
Love the socks, the pattern are allready done before you start knitting :)

Wow, that sweater is so pretty. I knit every now and then, but in all honesty, I have a hard time doing any bigger projects that require me to stay completely off the computer. I do sew some, I enjoy to read, and love to practice my amateur photography skills (although my son does not love it as much lol).

I love your bags too Bren, amazing! A few people at work are fabulous knitters and I am always envious for what they create. I am creative of mind but I don't know to make stuff. I was never taught and now I can't find the time. I did make my first sock puppet last week. DD really, really wanted one and after I was finished she didn't even look at it. LOL. So much for my hard work. But it was fun pretending to know what I was doing!

I agree...everyone is so darn talented...I love it!
Lets see, I learned to knit (sort of) the first time in went into the hospital back in 2000. I not all that great at it, but I like to make simple scarves and blankies for me and family, once in awhile.
I just started playing with PMC, making myself a little silver awareness charm, and a couple silver guitar picks for my old man, but I don't think I have the great imaginative mind to create anything too intricate, just yet.
Other than that, I just digi scrap, make a card for someone here and there, and dark skully type fliers for my old man and his band...but after 11 years, they are no longer together, so I haven't done that in awhile.:biggrin8:

OMG - You ladies are so talented!!! I have done some knitting, but anything more than a scarf or simple blanket is too much work for me. I also love to bake and sew (though I don't have a sewing machine right now.) I also LOVE working on my photography, but I don't feel I'm growing very quickly there... Practice, practice, practice, I guess!

We have some very talented ladies around here! I also crochet and am working on a granny square blanket right now. I'm in no hurry and work on my squares when I'm sitting in front of the TV mostly. Right now, I have a bunch of little squares and am trying to figure out how I want to join them. I'll try to remember to come back and post a picture when I have something more to show.

I have started to learn granny squares today :biggrin8: but I have to practise a lot before I can start my blanket..
I will make my blanket in brown, sand, offwithe and so on..love to see your squares Heather :Cheerful:

I am the most uncraft-sy person on the planet (yeah I've said this on Catscrap too, lol). Seriously am horrible. Can't cut in straight lines or color within the lines :25r30wi: Hence my joy with digiscrapping. So all these projects are blowing my mind! You ladies are such a talented bunch!!!
Here is my first ever Granny Square. I had a hard time figure it out and it is a bit rough around the edges but :lykkelig:
I will practise some more before I buy yarn..
