Frequently Asked Questions:

I'm just wondering if we can use freebies from MScraps designers (from their blog, newsletter, the mscraps newsletter, iNSD freebies etc.)
It's ok to use freebies as long as you've downloaded them from our store (http://www.mscraps.com/shop/home.php?cat=25) and they're still available at the time you post your layout(s).

Can we use Guest Designer products in the challenges? (while they are a guest here of course)
Yes, are allowed to use guest designer stuff during the month(s) that they are a guest here.

Can we submit 1 (the same) layout for multiple challenges? (I mean for example for a monthly challenge
and a idsd/insd/birthday/oscars party challenge?
No, for you can only submit 1 layout once.

Just wondering if we were able to use kits that we have received for being on a personal CT?
As long as the products that you use are 100% current mscraps products it's ok.

What if i bought a collaboration, say Diva-Ness. Can i use products from the kit from the other designer too?
Yes, absolutely!
If the collaboration is available at mscraps, you can use everything that's included in the kit even if the 2nd (other) designer does not sell here!

Hi, the last time I participated in the challenge was back in July 2011 and I had accumulated 6 points. I would like to start participating again. Do I get to keep the points? or do I start from 0?
Points do not expire, so yes, you get to keep those points!

Yes, absolutely!
If the collaboration is available at mscraps, you can use everything that's included in the kit even if the 2nd (other) designer does not sell here!

Points do not expire, so yes, you get to keep those points :)

Just looking over the new rules for challenges and saw this 100% bit...

"You must use 100% MScraps product with the exception of fonts. (retired products and quickpages do not count!)"

I was just wondering........i don't mean to sound silly but does that also include templates?
I had a chance thought in my brain that i'd still be able to use any template.....

hmmm...if a template is currently at M-store - why not? :winking0071:

usually, the challenges have their own specific requirements - especially the recipe, ad and scraplift challenge and you won't most probably be able to use any template there...other than that, a template might be fine
(although - original work is preferred :winking0071:)

All layouts have to be 100% Mscraps product.
You may use fonts by other designers, but no quickpages! (as that would be too easy - lol)
You may use Templates as long as they've been purchased or downloaded from our store and they're still available at the time you post your layout(s).

I was just re-reading the rules and noticed that we can use retired products as long as the designer still sells at MScraps, so does that include retired store collabs?

as long as they were retired from the store, yes.....that doesn't apply to blogtrain collab freebies which are usually not sold at the store.

I didn't add my total from the Birthday challenge to the monthly challenge tracker and now I cannot access that post to update the monthly challenge point tracker. Can - and will - whoever calculates the total at the end of the month be able to get that total from the Birthday Party link that I had added?

The rules say that "Creative Team Members, NRTeam Members and Guest CT Members can play along with our challenges, but they are not eligible to earn points the month(s) that they are part of MScraps." Does this mean that all CT members of the designers that sell at MScraps aren't eligible to earn points? *newbie here .. need to make sure I understand the rules* :)

No, only store CT, NRT, and Guest CT--not the personal designer CT. The latter are very welcome to play!
