Just for fun, tell me about your totally odd and random star sightings/meetings...

Here are mine:

1. I have a picture of Robin Williams holding me as a baby in a newspaper. (he was doing a movie in our hometown and my Mom & I were actually supposed to be in it but got cut. Bummer right?)
2. I met Kiefer Sutherland when he was doing a movie on our street when I was 13 or so.
3. When working at a deli in highschool, I made a sandwich for the lead singer of Korn.
4. I saw the back of Paris Hilton's head a CHA a year or so ago. When she released her...er...scrapbook line.
5. I met Tim Holtz, Ali Edwards, Jenny Bowlin, & Hedi Swapp at CHA another year. A few others as well, but I was pretty excited about these 4.

:biggrin8:

You met Kiefer?? iDie! Bryn needs to be here...she has some awesome celebrity stories...I live thru her. :D
My star meetings are lame...
the Diamond Rio guys
Oliver Luck (retired NFL quarterback)
K...Steve Whiteman (lead singer of Kix) is from my area....use to hang out with him and his wife before shows at Hammerjacks in Baltimore (good times!) hehe!
John Kruk (retired Phillies player) is from my hometown...ran into him a lot. (He was hilarious on David Letterman..not so much IRL.)
That's about it. Not many star sightings in the middle of nowhere, WV. lol!

1. Ran into both Stephen Spielberg and Whoopi Goldberg during my lunch hour when I was working for the State Gov't.
2. During a budget conference, well, before it started, I was about to walk in and saw this gentleman that looked very familiar, so I sat down and whispered asking him if he was Mike Ditka and well....uh huh. Talked to him for 20 minutes and got his autograph.
3. I went to school with Ice Cube back in 1987-1989. SERIOUSLY, I did! He taking Auto-CADD for 'just in case' he didn't make it going solo since at the time he was writing lyrics for NWA and Easy-E. Old School, I know, but heh, I am old school! *winks*

...also got to meet and get autographs from some of the Dallas Cowboys football players when we went to see them play against AZ! noiiiiice!

The town I grew up in has a strong Dutch heritage, and my mom was born in The Netherlands, so it was no stretch for me to belong to a group of girls in high school called The Dutchesses. We traveled around the state singing and doing Dutch dances. One weekend we had a show in a town square, and as we were leaving this couple ran up to us and said they had just hurried home to get their camcorder, and could we please do a couple more songs for them to tape? We didn't want to, but performed for them anyway. It wasn't until partway through that some of us realized that we were going to be on the home videos of Tom Arnold and Rosanne Barr!

I also had spent an evening grilling steaks with Kurt Warner (football player) and many of his teammates at a meet and great for the arena league football team he was playing for at the time.

I also met Antonio Sabato Jr., when he was on General Hospital.

And I've lived vicariously through my little sister who was a country music groupie one summer. She met a lot of great country music singers - but the best story was one night when she and a couple friends got to hang out on Rascal Flatts tour bus!! Lucky girl!

I saw Eriq La Salle in NYC a couple years back while walking on a sidewalk. He passed me and nodded at me when I smiled at him hehe.

I doubt anyone knows him but I met Miles Muzio who used to be on Channel 3 Eyewitness as a weather-man news in Connecticut in a Hartford Hospital elevator. He's now on a Bakersfield CA news channel as a weather reporter I think. http://www.bakersfieldnow.com/blogs/weather

I saw Anne Nyberg of Channel 8 news in CT while shopping at Marshalls lol. http://www.wtnh.com/dpp/news/news_team/ann_nyberg

I met the former governor of CT John G. Rowland when I won a scholarship in high school at the State Capitol building and later saw him at a restaurant and talked with him for a second.

I met Michael Payne who used to be on Designing for the Sexes at a book signing in CT. He gave me his book and autographed it with my name =D

I've met several actors from plays in CT.

I shook hands with Amy Lee of Evanescence at a concert and the guys in Chevelle.

I met the guys from Lifehouse when they played at a bar in Indianapolis.

I met a few other singers of lesser-known bands from Chicago.

I think that's it lol.

Edit: Oooh, I also met Ray Charles, yes, you read that right, when I was about 4 or 5 years old at one of his concerts though I only vaguely remember it. I remember I didn't realize he was blind lol.

oh i thought of a possibly cool one...do you guys know that guy from the tv show the mentalist Simon Baker? In my first job at Wendy's i worked with his cousin. Back then he was the regular male model for our teen girl's magazine 'Dolly' ane he was so, like, cute and that.

Yeah and I met Diamond and or Pearl (not sure which), dancers/backup singers for Prince when I was about 13, I got to go backstage. Man I love Prince.

Hey look at me, I'm cooler than I thought. Although I think I may have just negated any coolness by thinking about this all day :winking0071:

My husband LOVED this story because A) He loves the Friday movies and B) He uses autocadd every single day of his life for his business.

Anyways, my celeb sightings, not too impressive. I met Tom Wopat aka Luke Duke, when I was about 19 yrs old working at a Subway. He came in and ordered a BMT, biggist meatiest and tastiest.....yes, I would say so. I used to want to marry him when I was 10. I made such a fool of myself over him. LOL!
And I met Willard Scott. Not long after that, when I was waiting tables at an IHOP.

nothing really impressing here...Well maybe for dutch saying I did, but first off Nicole I have to say I love ice cube too and those friday movies rock!!
And jenna that is sooo cool you got to meet him!

- I shook hands and got a blink from one of hollands' most famous singers: Marco borsato
- My dad's friend was best friends with one a dutch band of the 90's...maybe the dutch girls know them: 2 brothers on the 4th floor. They really did live on the 4th floor in an appartment in Utrecht and since I was a big fan in the 90's my dad's friend took me to see them one day, but only for 20 minutes or so...

- Oh yeah almost forgot this... I saw Brad Pitt when he was visiting the Netherlands... I think he was looking for an appartment in Amsterdam that time and I was sight-seeing with my BFF. he was like 100 meters away from us, but he DID wave at us when we called his name (shouting)! LOL...

- well actually I met tons of famous people and kissed some cheaks...oh but those were wax peopel in madame tussaud...hehe

All of these encounters are so cool! In February of 2009, my husband, sister and I went to a Papa Roach concert and the lead singer, Jacoby Shaddix, came out into the crowd during his performance. He walked right up my aisle - I had an aisle seat - and he high fived me! :smileyhighfive: Freakin' sweet. I was 6 months preggo at the time, and my son's middle name is Jacoby because of that experience! ::swoon::

These stories are sooo fun!

I met some Dutch musical stars and have pictures with them: Jos Brink, Ron Link, Carlo Boszhard and Jamai Loman. Jamai really knows me because I spoke him quite a few times the last six years. He's such a sweet and talented guy!
I shook hands with GARY BARLOW during a concert of Take That in 2007. That was pretty amazing in a crowd of 10.000 people!
I had such long eye contact with Lionel Richie during a concert that I didn't know where to look :ashamed0001:
I have a picture of Phil Collins when he looks straight in my camera at the Dutch premiere of Tarzan.

OK, so I am just hoping that my hubby will not find this thread, because he thinks I'm crazy :-)
And I think I'm crazy too!! whahahaha

I met Ray of 2 Unlimited (a Dutch band from the 90s) at my boyfriend (at the time) Dad's restaurant in Roermond in 1999.
(I have got that picture somewhere, can't find it now...)
A few years later I bumped into him again in town in a club, later on that evening (night!!) he was fighting with lots of guys in the middle of the street, they attacked him, because they thought he was cocky...

I met Xander de Buisonje twice in 2001 and 2003 (I believe)
(I have got those pics somewhere as well, just don't know where :D)

I met Boris, the winner of the Dutch Idols in 2004 just a few days before he won.

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h99/joysee83/joyce_boris.jpg

I met Take That at Schiphol Airport in 2006 :-)
I took a picture of my friend with Gary Barlow.
She asked if she could kiss Jason on his cheek and he said "yes", so she did LOL
Afterwards Howard came walking past and I asked him if I could take a picture, he said: no pictures, please, but I will give you a cuddle.
So he gave me a big cuddle...I wasn't very impressed at the time, I just wanted that picture (not a cuddle) so that I had proof ... LOL
I think it's silly now looking back at it!

That's me in the background (my proof - whahahaha :giggle:):
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h99/joysee83/100_2856-2.jpg

And here's the pic I took of my friend Naomi and Gary Barlow:

I don't have any real star sightings except that my best friend in HS, Jessica? Her grandfather went to seminary with Madonna's dad.

And I went to HS and was friends with this guy named Kyle Howard who has been in a bunch of TV shows and movies. Here's his IMDB page... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0397445/

And Joyce, I hadn't got a chance to go their concerts when they were the first time around. I like their old and new music very much, especially Beautiful World. I went to see them in Carré and Ahoy in 2007. I haven't been to the Circus Tour as they didn't come to Holland. BTW, are you Joi-C at TTT?

I was Joysee at the forum, but I haven't visited that place since 2006, I think :-)

I've been to concerts in 1994 (I was only 10 at the time, almost 11 :giggle:), 1995, 2006 and Carre with Lion Richie etc.
I've also been to the Jensen show in 2006 (??) when they were on that show.
But after that I just kinda lost interest and my hubby told me I needed to grow up :rofl2:.

Okay well, since I grew up in Pasadena and a lot of stars live there, I have a few. But none of them are super cool or anything, LOL. :)

*The guy that played Lurch on the Addams Family (the TV show) lived down the street from us.
*I went to Elementary school with Max Slade, who played Colt in the 3 Ninjas movies. He's now a wanna-be punk singer. LOL.
*Also went to school with the kid that played Brad on Home Improvement, and have met the woman that played the mom when she shopped at the Trader Joe's that I used to work at.
*Random sighting of Jessica Biel in Santa Monica, who was very rude to the little group of girls that I was with (I was working for a country club, and we took the kids there one day).
*Random sighting of Vanessa Williams at Disneyland.
*My BFF's cousin was engaged to a member of Papa Roach, before they were big. I can't remember which one now (this was before I knew them). They're from Vacaville which isn't too far from here, and he broke it off with her when they got really big. Nice.
*Steve Urkel (LOL) went to my middle school.
*I had a friend that was on one of those commercials back in the day for Tiger Woods, where all the kids are on there and they say 'I am Tiger Woods.' Remember those?
*Random sighting of the guy that played Sammi's brother on Days of Our Lives, what was his name? That was a long time ago...

I'm sure I have a few more random things. Maybe I'll think of some more. :)

Oh, yeah, I totally never thought of the halfway famous people I went to school with. Kyle Korver, who I think plays for the Utah Jazz was in my little sister's class. And Dave Keuning of The Killers was a year younger than me in high school.
