Hey ladies,
I've done something to my photoshop and i don't know what i've done! eek!
When i drag my papers from my minibridge into a page they come in small......and they used to fill the page - like a full 12 x 12 inch size.
It seems to be only happening with my Anita Designs - Reasons Kit and no others.
I've tried my other Anita Design Kits and they seem ok - ie papers come in full size.
This is a good thing i guess............maybe i'm just not meant to use this kit for a challenge tonight:glis:
The more i think about it - it seems it might be a specific file error and not a photoshop error.
Any ideas?
tnx xx kel

Something like that happened to me once when I opened a new page, and it was set to 300 pixels per cm instead of 300 pixels per inch, took me FOREVER to figure out!!!
but you say you drag other papers and they are fine? that didn't happen to me, all templates were fine except the PSD document I was working on. That could be a clue since I don't think it's the answer to your problem.

I don't know why this happens, but it happens to me as well more and more often lately.
What I do is: I don't drag the paper(s) onto the layout, but I drag it onto the bar at the top. (which will just open the file)
Like this:

And afterwards I drag it onto the layout from there. That seems to do the trick.

It does happen to me too sometimes. Luckily only very sometimes, because I'd go bananas if it happened more often.
Neat trick Joyce ! Will try to remember that.

Which PS is Joyce using? CS or PSE and what version. I want to remember that trick if it happens to me!!
same here, it happened a couple of times, and only with certain kits. if that happens, I do like Joyce, just OPEN it from my file browser (I don't use Bridge, it's slower than Finder on my Mac). then I convert it back to a Smart Object. (I have every layer in Photoshop as a Smart Object - less damage when resizing elements)

oooooooo point for Windows! fb2 Just wait for Windows 8 girls..............unleash the power that Mac doesn't have! :rofl2::giggle: Yup - you guessed it - me gorgeous brother - who BTW is ***SINGLE ********!!! (lives in London though! ) will give me Windows 8 soon. Actually he has a Mac but he says never under estimate the power Windows. He works with both as Windows does stuff that mac doesn't do well / not designed for.................anyway I digress!!!
Romy - what's this "smart object"??? never heard of that. Seen smart filters but not smart object - I always avoid smart things! :glis: Should I be avoding you Romy hun???! :rofl2::25r30wi:
:giggle: you are very wrong, my dear, about me being smart.........why do you thing I convert things into Smart Objects, eh??? :rofl2: :25r30wi:
correction: "why I need to..."
(try to right-click on the name of the layer if there is "convert to Smart Object" choice or drag an element into Photoshop from Windows Explorer)
you know, you keep mentioning you amazing brother but you never share his phone number or his photo...I'm beginning to think he's too perfect and he doesn't exist!!! :giggle:

Thanks for the dragging across the top tip Romy!

Thanks again! xx kel

What's a bridge? Can't believe I am asking, seeing as I make my living in IT.
I do things differently, I have two monitors , one with PS, one with ordinary windows explorer. I just drag and drop from one screen to the next. Works really fast.

I would love to have two screens at home! I have two at work, and my boss is about to have FOUR! Geez!!!

Adobe Bridge is a part of Photoshop family, it's included when you purchase Photoshop. I find it slower in searches then Finder (my regular file browser)

Now I am curious, what do you do with four screens?

oh! the same thing you do with two screens, but twice as fast :25r30wi:
My boss works on quotes a lot on materials, so he wants to have one window for emails, one for the order sheet, one for the certificates and the database of materials (reference materials) and then he couldn't explain why he needed the 4th so his sister (who also works there, she's a funny "tell it like it is" person, a bit rough too sometimes) and I said, at the same time "Youtube and Facebook"! :25r30wi:
I guess it's mostly so he doesn't have to keep swapping application on his screen, we work with big long worksheets too. It's just a way to make his life easier. Tax deductible too :giggle: (at least I assume so)
