This is quick guide to adding textures to your photos in Adobe Photoshop or Elements!
To add a unique texture to your photo, start by opening an image in your photo editing software. Then open the texture you would like to apply to your image.
1. Use the Move tool to drag the texture over your photo, completely covering the photo. Be sure the paper layer is one position above the photo layer in the Layers Panel. If needed select the layer in the Layers Panel and move it up or down to position it.
2. The blending mode drop-down menu can be found at the top of the Layers Panel. The default reads - [Normal]. Click on the drop-down menu and change the blending mode to Overlay.
As you change the blending mode, you will see the photo take on the texture, hues, and color. Try experimenting with other blending modes like Soft Light, Multiply, and Linear Burn to see which one brings out the best in your photo!
