Well I have to do a new tutorial for Scrapbooking Memories magazine for this weekend. And I could always do a smaller version for here!:wink3:
Any ideas????
Has to be something that a paper scrapbooker might be able to do as well as a digiscrapper!

I would say if it is for paper scrapper too, It would have to be something with photos?
Remember that fabric bag I did? What about something like that?

mmmmm - there's already a photo editing person at the magazine. I just have to do digi scrapping tutorials. Yes I remember that gorgeous bag!!!!! And I voted for you because of it!!! I thought it was so unique! And WOW!!! Hun you are such a talent!
I was thinking of Changing Colours. or Moving/resizing/flipping/etc. and some bits on the layers palette.
We are in talks now about me doing a whole year of how to digiscrap rather than just monthly tutorials on little bits! I'll get a front cover mention each month too!!! I'll be famous hun! I'll be right next to all those disgusingly skinny models on Vogue! (luckily it will just be my name not my photo!!!:giggle:) Finally this is my one and only chance to br right next to Brad Pitt if he ever makes an appearence on a magazine front cover! :25r30wi:
I'd rather do something useful than something peope won't look at!

Wow, Suzie!! This is so exciting - I'm trying to think of tutorials that would work for paper-scrapping, too. I would love to learn more about blending papers and photos but that would be strictly digi.

Blending - as Julie said - and masking would be a good idea - so anybody will be able to make hyprid LO's.

all I can think about right now is Brad Pitt!
Oh and back to the bag, not to name any names but the designer products that I used on my bag..... . her latest kit is mine and I'll be making another one with that kit as it is so so beautiful! Need to get to the store to buy the fabric first!
I also want to make a bag with 3pp kits Noticed and Change (http://www.mscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=36&cat=0&page=2) as those purple & greens are sooooo pretty together. As soon as I do I will share that one here!
This is really a hard question! How hard for you too! I just love making Hybrid layouts and cards...... Maybe how to make a template for card makers to beable to easily have the template to pull their digi products in for print off? I have one myself and it makes it easy and fast to get all the products you need onto your 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper to print off.

Yeah but SM own the tutorial so I have to be careful......................! :giggle:
Love all the ideas - there is already a photo person who covers the photo side (amazingly enough!!) so i can't tread on her toes! Plus I am no good with textures/blending/etc! Tell you who is..................Ona!!! And Jen (Justjen)!
I think there's a template / hybrid person?
The recolouring one - I think I'll do that! Give me pink and I shall make it blue!! :rainbowf:
So girls I won't be here Friday as I HAVE to submit this on Friday evening Sydney time - and have to make a new page and do screen shots and write the article and all, so busy day!!!
And I won't be here thursday either as I have to work - 8am to 7pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So best get to bed NOW then hadn't I!! have to be up in 4-5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :glis:

Yeah it's good - but I need to do digital techniques - I think the rule of thirds is like a designer thing. They have different people doing different things.
I have done drop shadows, digital stitching, moving and, just now, re-colouring. I did suggest a font one - making a font but the editor wasn't that keen! I am the only 100% digital scrapper on board. I might tackle layers next and cover clustering a bit.
I am also talking about doing a 12 month Photoshop course within the magaine - Heaven knows why they chose me! She just emailed me out of the blue (as all pixel Canvas girls will know!!)
I am trying to get a 4 pager where I do the "how to make a digital page" and get a kit to work with (:glis:) but it's a big ask.................!

You did a tutorial about digital stitching? How cool! Where can I find that Suzie or is it only in that magazine?
Don't know if you want to but you can use my stuff anytime Suzie:wink2:
I think a lot of digiscrappers don't know the technique of coloring through gradients which I learned in my fanart period. Don't know if you're familiar with it but it's cooooool!

Used gradients on BG papers and for blending - but thanks for reminding me!!!
The digital stitching will be in June - probably on sale now (you know what these magazines are like!!!)
The re-colouring one I just did was using 3 kits from here - the next one is LAYERING!!!!!!!!!! Something I didn't know about when I used PS for photos!! So I am sure many newbies don't know about it!
They have a huge scrapbook convention in Brisbane in mid-June and asked if I would be going so I could do something there!!!!!!!!!!!! I said no! Can't afford it! THAT would be a great marketing thing for here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rainbowf: Imagine.............!!!

That would of been fun Suzie! I know how you feel alot of my paper scrappers wanted me to go to California for the last big showoff but I just could not afford it.

It's tempting as Dom will be there then so we could each pay for one child to come! he could take them to the famous beaches and I could take them to the famous theme parks (and Australia Zoo - Steve Irvin (RIP) Crocodile Hunter's zoo) - but it truly costs so much!!!
Maybe next year!!!!!!!!!
Shame as I could visit Ona - think she lives close to the NSW/Queensland borner??? Maybe not!
