I won't be doing anything!!! But today at Thomas' pre primary we had an extra special Mother's Day afternoon tea! The kids had baked heaps of stuff (which I helped with yesterday!!) and set up a mummy cafe and made lovely flower crafty things! They each had a go on the microphone and told everyone why their mum was special!! I was special as I play games with Thomas!!! (don't do that enough so it was great to hear him say that!) Then they gave us a picture of them with their mum and had answered questions.......like what is your mum's favourite food (chicken!!) and what does your mum like to wear? (Simpson's clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and finally what does your mum look like? (an angel!!aaahhh!)

It was so sweet!!!

But I get a tad sad as I would love to be with my mum on Sunday..............but she lives 10000000000000's of kms away in England!
It was so sweet!!!

My siblings and I are going to go to my mom's to plant some flowers for her. My mother-in-law lives out of state, so we will chat with her on skype (love that!). And I told my DH that all I wanted for mother's day is some time to myself for scrapping. I want to take my laptop to a coffee shop to enjoy good coffee and scrap without being pulled away by anyone..hehe!

No big plans here. We'll be taking my mom out for lunch or dinner...whichever she prefers. But other than that, nothing special. Just hanging out with my fam. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

*lol* Aagje!

We're going to the big city for a wedding and National Train Day on Saturday, but I warned them in no uncertain terms that it was Mother's Day on Sunday and I wanted a massage (as long as we're going to be in civilization). Although, now that I think about it, maybe I should call and set one up as DH has been slammed all week and I doubt he's had a chance to... =)

YEah I know........my Mum called me (she's in UK) that Sunday and first thing she said was "Happy mothers Day"!! How bad did I feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocking!!

Our Father's Day is in September and I think the "rest of the world" is in June???

WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE THE SAME!!!!!!!! Guess that would make the card companies bored!!!

Heather - I'll have a massage with you (well different room of course!! :25r30wi:) and I'll join the other Heather and Jen in the Cafe with the laptop!!!!!!!!!

is Father's Day really in June for the rest of the world? We didn't have any in Czech Republic ( used to be Czechoslovakia then), we have it now in California but I think some US states don't have it at all but don't take my word for it!

I...........will be fixing MY dress to fit my little girl....um, excuse me...my dear grown-up daughter......for her prom!!
she's been asking about what we are going to do - maybe brunch or a movie...
