OK, so I realize that this has got nothing to do with Scrapbooking, but wouldn't it be fun to share our favorite recipes with everyone else???
This thread (challenge) brought me to this idea:
http://mscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5214
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Nana!!
And Romy has got a point!!
ok, I vote for a change of rules of this challenge: unless the recipe is included, the photos cannot enter this challenge!!!!!!!!:biggrin8:
So what you'll have to do is:
create a new thread
subject: name of the recipe
let us know which country the recipe is from (preferably in the subject as well)
show us a picture if you can (if you haven't got one, perhaps you can find one on the net)
list the ingredients (of course)
instructions
I can't wait to see all of the yummy recipes and can't wait to try some of them!!
I will share some in a bit (need to translate them first)!

OK here's one which I used to do all the time.
BANOFFEE Pie (which no one in Australia has ever heard of - which was great as I could make it any way I wanted and they wouldn't know!!!
1 tin (420g) condensed milk.
Put into a pan of boiling water for 2 hours. After 1 hour turn otherway up so all contents are evenly cooked. You have to stary around and keep checking it doesn't boil dry!
Meanwhile get a whole packet of gingernuts (biscuits) and crush them up (enter Thermomix :rofl2::25r30wi:) add - not sure how much (:glis:) melted butter - not margarine girls! Mix and push into a flan dish then put into the fridge to set.
When your tin of condensed milk is cooked (about 2 hours - shake it to test if it seems solid it's cooked) MAKE SURE YOU WEAR OVER GLOVES!!!!!!! :glis: It is now toffee!
Pour toffee over the biscuit base and put into fridge to set.
Whip up some cream and spread over the top (can add a few mls of Bailey's or maple Syrup if you like!!)
chop up bananas and put all over the top.
Voila! Dead easy non-cook type recipe!!! :25r30wi:

Another? From a non-cook! - this you need to make about 2 days ahead and will impress the pants off your guests!!! :wink2:
500g greek yoghurt.
500g whipping cream.
Whip together.
Get a glass bowl. Must be glass.
Add 1kg FROZEN berries to the GLASS bowl. must be frozen.
Pour yoghurt-cream mix over berries.
500g (can be less but you need the effect!) brown Demerera sugar.
sprinkle the sugar gently over the cream mix so it doesn't sink through the cream mix. Keep pouring all over and around the edges.
Now the effect: After 2 days the sugar will have absorbed the water from the frozen berries ** by drawing it up through the cream (streaked effect - hence the glass bowl!!)** and the toping will be very very crunchy!
Your guests will be absolutely amazed and will have no idea how you made it! (unless you all come to me in which case you will know!!!!)
you keep it in fridge for those 2 days, right, Suzie?
