mum2gnt
28-03-2010, 02:44 PM
Ah!!!!! Ok - knew this would haunt me one day!!!

Woke up at some unearthly hour (probably about 11am!!!) the day after my 18th birthday party - er in the lounge room with about 100 of my great friends. Tried to stand but just yelled and woke everyone else up! By the next day I discovered I had broken my little toe.

Now to this day, I and none of the other 100 great friends know exactly how I broke it! Must have been a great party then eh!!!

Then there was my nose............drank a bottle of "Blue Nun" (most UK people will know that wine!! You know the one - cheap plonk!) when I was about 19 (didn't learn when i was 18!!), went to the fair on Brighton pier and stood up in a bumper car (dodgem) and shouted look I can drive!!!!! Then my gorgeous gorgeous friend Niall bumped into me and I went flying! I only weighed about 1 gram then so I did fall out of the car. Broke my nose! Still, I had awesome black under my eyes - saved on the eye shadow for weeks!!! LOL!

If you had to go back and re-live one year of your life, which one would it be?

parrfunkel
15-04-2010, 05:45 PM
1994, that year after I graduated high school. I was so nieve and made so many mistakes that year. I might say 1993, because maybe then I would have decided to go to college right away, but then I would never have met my husband and my daughter would never have been born and well... Gosh, that's a hard question. Perhaps it's better to just realize that everything happens for a reason and leave it at that, delicate time space continueum and all that.

On that note - Who invented the flux-capacitor?

sue.falstaff
15-04-2010, 06:06 PM
Doc Emmet Brown (and I didn't have to look that up on Google either ... I'm sad like that!!!!)

At what speed does the flux-capacitor kick in?

parrfunkel
15-04-2010, 06:23 PM
88 miles an hour (I didn't have to google that either :)

how did the design for the flux-capacitor come to the doc?

mum2gnt
15-04-2010, 08:10 PM
Er...................well................the flux-capacitor was sick so he called the.......er..............doc???

Sorry! I think you are talkingabout back to the Future???? Doc Emmet Brown or something - probably got that wrong!! So my question is:

What the hec is a flux-capacitator????????? And during the chinese whispers did the spelling stay correct?

heatherbird
15-04-2010, 08:32 PM
I'm not exactly sure what a flux capacitor is, but it has something to do with regulating motion (I think). They actually had to replace the flux capacitor on my HVAC unit last year, LOL! I thought he was kidding when the guy told me that...

I'm sure this has been asked a billion times but what is your favorite adult beverage? :D :drink3-1:

mum2gnt
17-04-2010, 12:12 PM
Hmmm Linda hun I think you might have been on the wrong page there!!!

So how long at Mscraps - well most would probably reply to this with "too long"!!! But I actually have been here for I think 3 weeks - was end March as we had a home open for our house then! I was one of the pixel Canvas homeless posse.

(and just for the record the worst fashion must have been the 3/4 length shiny baggy bants with elastic at the bottom - bit like the golfer's two plus fours or whatever they are called! They were the in thing!!! Especially with a sweat band around the permed and highlighted hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just asked my 5 YO what question I could ask and he says "what car would you like?" Just to let you know he has about 20 Matchbox cars all in a line starting at $1 - and the ferrari and Buggatti are mine!!!

sunnie2004
17-04-2010, 12:53 PM

Skirt or shorts?

mum2gnt
17-04-2010, 04:56 PM
Hun what is a skirt?

I have a "cellphone" (we call them mobiles here!) but hate it! It is quicker for me to phone someone or even email them than text! And the darn thing keeps needing a recharge!!

Last movie you saw at the cinema? (seeing as Aagje and lex just bought that up in another thread!)

inklover13
17-04-2010, 05:59 PM
Last movie I saw at the cinema, was Invictus.

Now for a really silly, would you rather question.:giggle:
Would you rather have a ketchup - dispensing navel, or a pencil-sharpening nostril?

heatherbird
17-04-2010, 07:35 PM
Pencil-sharpening nostril, for sure. That would be so convenient! ;)

Are your toenails painted? And if so, what color?

heathert
17-04-2010, 08:25 PM
I painted my toenails once, for my wedding... And Suzie, a cellphone is not just for texting, it's supposed to be for calling people! *lol*

The flies in the hot Australian summers when I am out walking the dog!

Just had to share these pics with you of when my hubby and I were in Perth last year...

Look at my face (the flies were everywhere!)...I wasn't happy...we were at such a gorgeous place (river gorges), yet we couldn't enjoy it because of the annoying flies!

OMG That is amazing Joyce. I have never seen flies like that before .

heathert
19-04-2010, 11:49 AM
eek! No likey flies!

I got started digiscrapping because I started rubberstamping and making cards, then got published in an Asian-style scrapping book. The digi part was because I also started making rubber stamps, and a friend egged me on for the digiscrapping part... =) So I'm both, I guess. Though I very rarely have time to make real cards anymore!

When's the last time you pulled an all-nighter (i.e., you never went to sleep one night)?

inklover13
19-04-2010, 12:23 PM
A.) For me that would be the last two nights. My 24/7 medication in a pump is very painful for a few day, when I change my site. Usually, those are the days when I can't get comfortable enough to sleep a wink. But the up side to it is, if I can manage to do some scrapping at these times, my pages seem to be much better. lol

Q.) Which amusement park is your favorite, and when you go...where do you stop first (ride, character visits, junk food carts)?
