Computer Glasses??

Have any of you ever tried using computer glasses? My poor eye-sight is getting worse and worse and I'm pretty dang sure I have CVS(computer vision syndrome). I saw some of these on Amazon and I'm wondering if they work??? I have heard of people getting anti-glare coating on their prescription glasses, but being I don't normally wear glasses..that one's not an option. But...computer glasses? Maybe?

I've never tried them, but if they work, I should get them. I'm on the darn computer all the time.

You should go to an ophthalmologist first sweetie!! None of the glasses you get without a prescription are going to do you much good. But, I do have a prescription for 2 sets of glasses, one for close-up work (drawing, wire/beading, reading) and one for the rest of the time. My close-ups weren't working for the computer though (which is why I got them), not sure why...

probably because your pupils are closer together when you read or do beading than when you look at a screen... that can make a difference (at least with multifocals/progressive lenses, it does). I thought I could get away with those cheapie reading glasses, and did for a while, but when I got an eye exam, one of my eyes is slightly weaker than the other, and those cheap glasses don't account for that and you might give yourself headaches..... literally!

I agree, go see an optometrist!

I'm with Heather, too. Go get those eyes checked just in case and ask them about the computer glasses and if they recommend them. We need you to see perfectly so you keep making pretty things for us
I know, totally selfish...

Smack me ya'll---I flipped back and forth on this until I finally broke down and ordered a pair. I'm too impulsive! Waiting to go to an optometrist is really what I should have done...and will probably end up having to do anyway. But if by some miracle these do actually help, I will keep you updated(in case anyone else is considering them).

Right now I am wearing regular shades while looking at the monitor. I look really silly.
