You too can give GSOs at MScraps!

Hi all
Did you know that ANYONE who is a member here can make use of our GSO thread?
What's GSO you ask? Gallery Stand Out... if you spot a LO in the gallery which STANDS OUT for you, you can post it to this month's GSO thread.

Here's how to do it, it's very simple.... go ... try it... have fun and make someone's day!
They'll love you for it!

• spot a GSO in the gallery..... (a GSO is a page that stands out for YOU, according to what makes you go "ooooh!")

• copy the URL below the credits, where it says Linked Image: *you want the image, not the thumbnail*

its' the same first bit ... but before you paste the URL, keep reading..... )

• go to this section of the forum\
There's a reason for that, I'll explain it a bit later.

If you prefer, you can access it through the main FORUM link as well, under the header:

• Ok, now that you've clicked on the
Sticky: GALLERY STANDOUTS {Month 2012} link, go to the bottom of the first page, and post your message there again, there's a reason for that.... mention the name of the scrapper, say something about the page if you want, and post the link you copied/
Click SUBMIT POST

• Ok, then, the link you see in your address/URL bar, you know, at the top of your browser, it starts with http:// www. mscraps.com /forum/... COPY that........

• Go to the page. Leave your comment, and paste the URL you just copied, which is where the scrapper can find the GSO thread and your post. You can also type the GSO letters, then click on the ICON that looks like a linked chain, and then paste the URL there as well. That'll make the word linked to the forum.

• Click Submit, and feel good because you undoubtedly just made someone's day.

• The reason why I say to go to the GSO section of the forum and then click on Sticky: GALLERY STANDOUTS {Month 2012} is because when you do it that way, after you have posted your message, the URL shown in the address bar will bring your scrapper STRAIGHT to the post you just made..... so if I want to post another GSO right away, I go back to this link: http://www.mscraps.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=46 and go back to Sticky: GALLERY STANDOUTS {Month 2012} and start again from the first page. It's OK if you don't do it that way, but I like when the scrapper who just got a GSO can go straight to the message you posted about their page.
If you want to test it out, go to this page by Tronesia for instance
and click on the link I left her... you will go straight to the post about her page, in the GSO forum.

France - hun. You lost me at Hi all!!!

I just open 2 tabs - one for gallery and one for GSO thread. Then copy the page's "linked image" and paste into GSO thread then copy the GSO url and paste into the gallery comment of that page. Also, I go to the last GSO page as someone may have already posted your chosen page.

But thanks France for posting this - you are such a gorgie so full of information.

Hopefully we can get more GSO's in the thread from the community.

Yes, that's fine too, I just find sometimes you get a link in the GSO and it sends you three pages back. Once you understand the instructions, it's easy! Then again, maybe some people just need part of the instructions !!!

maybe it's too complicated, if so, just do what suzie does.
I'm just a bit of a nerd and like the person to open the page and get to HER GSO, and be able to scroll up and down in the thread, and not get just a link to her single post, kwim???

I guess yours is the abridged version and mine is the encyclopaedic one!
