Journaling:
July 13th, 2009 was the most painful day of my life to date. this was the day, my eldest daughter
ran away from home. As a family, we put in the hardest summer of our lives, wait-
ing, wondering, wishing for her to come home. I blamed myself, for not being a
better mom. I had and have made many mistakes over the years as a mom, and if
there was anything i could change it would be time. I would take back some of the
things that I have done that seem to be the root of her pain. As each day passed, we
carried on as a family. Finally, she started coming home for visits, some of them were
wonderful, and other's ended with doors slamming and harsh words being said. More
days would pass without hearing from her again. More days passed until we reached
the One year anniversary of her not living at home. When we came to that day in 2010,
not much was said, we just carried on, as a family of 6 instead of 7. I have come to
realize that - time will heal all wounds, ours as a family, and hers if she allows it.
We are learning to live again, and someday, I pray that she will forgive us all!!

Oh my goodness... This caught my eye in the gallery, but the journaling leaves me aching for you. I do hope you all find your way towards reconciliation...

Oh hun........this is so sad. I too hope that one day your differences will be sorted. Teenagers (assuming she is one) can be a right pain in the butt with their mums - I know as I was one! I didn't run away but I didn't speak to my mum for over a year and quickly realised that maybe it was me that might be the problem, not her! My brother took me around to see her and we never spoke of it and just pretended nothing had happened! Now we still never speak of it, but 20 plus years later we are best friends!
