Journaling:
After wandering around Greenfield Village, we walked over to the Henry Ford Museum to take shelter indoors for awhile. The variety of cars and the historical significance of some of the vehicles was fascinating. We saw the presidential limousine in which JFK was assassinated, the bus ridden by Rosa Parks, and an old diner. We were also fortunate to see the exhibit, “Rock Stars, Cars and Guitars.” In it, we saw John Lennon’s controversial psychedelic Rolls Royce, U-2’s hot pink Trabant, and the Prowler belonging to Kiss. One of the highlights for Paul and Karin was to see the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. It was a great way to wrap up a day of sightseeing in Detroit.
